Art Toys at the Louvre? Apparently, it's possible now...

Des Art Toys au Louvre ? Apparemment, c’est jouable maintenant...

A burglary at the Louvre. Yes, you read that right.

We talk about the most heavily guarded museum in the world, and yet... some have managed to break in. So we ask ourselves a (nearly serious) question: when will we see a Labubu or a Skullpanda in a display case at the Louvre?

The Louvre, a bastion of history... but not frozen in the past

It is known for the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. But the Louvre also regularly hosts contemporary artists such as Kader Attia, Elizabeth Peyton, and Elias Crespin.

And yet, no Art Toy in sight. No giant Bearbrick. No Molly in an evening gown. An oversight? An injustice? You be the judge.

Art Toys: miniature works of art

Art Toys are much more than just cute objects. They are original creations, conceived as sculptural works, often made of vinyl, and signed by artists such as Michael Lau, KAWS, or Pop Mart.

They address themes such as consumerism, nostalgia, and identity... with humor, tenderness, or provocation. True pieces of contemporary art, but meant to be collected.

And now… a break-in at the museum

The timing is almost too perfect: a robbery at the Louvre, and here we are, defending for months the idea that Art Toys deserve their place in museums. Do we really have to break in to exhibit a Labubu?

We can already picture the scene: a Labubu "Winged Victory of Samothrace" enthroned on the Daru staircase, a meditative Skullpanda facing the Mona Lisa, or a winter edition Molly comfortably settled in the Hall of Mirrors. We're joking (half-joking).

Maximum security also at Mon Labubu

All joking aside, at Mon Labubu , security is taken very seriously. Our collections are distributed across anonymous and secure warehouses throughout the country. No location is public, no package is identifiable. Everything is done to protect:

  • our teams,
  • your precious figurines,
  • and our entire supply chain.

Yes, this may slightly increase delivery times. But peace of mind is priceless . A Labubu delivered two days later is far better than one lost in a poorly secured box.

While waiting for the Louvre...

Art Toys have already made their way into museums in Tokyo, Brooklyn, and London. So why not Paris?

And if it's not for right now, you can already create your own exhibition at home , with our rare and limited pieces.
